FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Planning your wedding is an exciting journey, and we understand that you may have questions along the way. The perfect wedding day doesn't happen by chance. It requires preparation, planning, timelines, location scouting, and styling. But it also needs something more from you: vulnerability, intention, and trust. Your vulnerability shows your true love, your intention keeps you present in the moment, and your trust allows us to be our most creative selves.
What is your pricing?
As each celebration is unique, we understand that your needs and preferences may vary. That's why we provide personalized quotes for weddings, elopements, and portrait sessions. Our full-service wedding collections begin at an investment of 3,275. However, we will provide you with a more tailored outline of your investment once we have a better understanding of your specific requirements.
Can I customize a collection?
Certainly! We are more than happy to customize any collection to perfectly align with your unique celebration. Submit your inquiry here, and we will promptly follow up with a personalized collection designed just for you to review.
How do I confirm my wedding date?
After you have chosen your desired date and we have finalized your collection, we will prepare a photography contract for your review. We kindly request that you return the signed contract within approximately a week to secure your date. Once we receive your signed contract and the 40 percent photography retainer, your wedding date will be officially booked! The remaining balance is due four weeks prior to your wedding date.
Is travel/accommodation included in your pricing?
Travel expenses are not included in the pricing of our collections. Since each wedding is unique, we like to gather information about your destination and celebration before discussing travel plans. This allows us to provide a tailored quote based on the location and number of shooting days required. The travel quote will be added to your selected collection, and rest assured, we handle all of our own travel arrangements unless otherwise specified.
Do you offer videography?
We do not. However, during the booking process, we will be happy to provide you with our recommended vendors for videography services.
Do you work with a second shooter?
Yes! A second wedding photographer provides numerous benefits, including enhanced coverage, diverse perspectives, and a wider range of captured moments. With two professionals, you can expect a more comprehensive and dynamic collection of photographs that beautifully document your special day.
What is your approach in capturing the wedding story?
We take a proactive approach in creating a wedding day timeline that maximizes the use of natural light to capture the best moments of your celebration. We collaborate closely with your planner and designer to ensure ample time for all desired portraits and photographs, while allowing for buffers to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. Our approach strikes a balance between art direction, capturing styled detail shots and portraits, and preserving the organic moments through photojournalistic coverage. The outcome is a collection that beautifully captures the essence of people, details, and emotions in perfect harmony.
Do you shoot film or digital?
Our photography is primarily digital, but we take great care in processing the images to achieve a film-like aesthetic. However, we're excited to share that film photography will soon be introduced!
How many images will we get?
As a general guideline, we typically curate approximately 80-100 final images for every hour of coverage. This ensures that we capture and deliver a comprehensive collection of beautiful moments from your special day.
Does the online gallery include all of the images you take or do you provide a limited number of images?
Our final images, typically 60-75 per hour of coverage, are carefully curated based on quality, content, and composition. We ensure that only the best images from each setup angle are included, omitting any with blinking, unflattering expressions, or blur. All final images undergo color corrections and exposure adjustments before being presented in the online gallery or as printed proofs, depending on your selected collection.
What are image turnaround times?
On average, the turnaround time for engagement and portrait sessions is approximately 2 to 4 weeks. For wedding images, the turnaround time is slightly longer, averaging 6 to 8 weeks. We take great care in curating and editing your photographs to ensure the highest quality and attention to detail.
What if it rains? What if we have to reschedule/relocate due to weather or a natural disaster?
While rain on your wedding day may not be ideal, we have experience in handling the challenges it presents. We work closely with your wedding planner to create backup plans and ensure a smooth experience. Our expertise and resourcefulness allow us to capture beautiful moments regardless of the weather. If rescheduling becomes necessary, we handle each situation uniquely. Rest assured, we are not just photographers but also your partners and friends, providing support and reassurance throughout the process.
Do I select the images that will be used in my wedding album?
If an album is included in your collection, you can expect to receive the first draft approximately 4 weeks after receiving your images. We custom design and layout your album to beautifully narrate your wedding story. You'll have the opportunity to make revisions when you receive the first draft, such as swapping images, adjusting spreads, or adding additional spreads. Once you approve the final layout, we perform the last round of image editing and provide you with a final PDF for your approval before proceeding with production. Do these images include retouching, color adjustment or other corrective services? Is there an additional fee for these services?
Working to achieve a film-like aesthetic in our photography allows us to capture the natural beauty of our subjects, resulting in minimal need for retouching. Our final set of images undergo color correction and exposure adjustments to ensure optimal quality. For individual images ordered as prints or selected for an album, we conduct a final image inspection, making individual adjustments to color and exposure as necessary. Basic retouching is also applied, which includes blemish removal, under-eye touch-ups, hair removal, and slight cropping. Our goal is to maintain a natural and unretouched look, with minimal adjustments that enhance the overall beauty of your photographs.
If you require more extensive retouching, such as wardrobe or hair and makeup adjustments, head swapping, or background alterations, we offer professional outsourced retouching services at a rate of 75 per hour. We will provide a detailed quote for your approval before proceeding with any additional work, ensuring transparency and customization according to your specific requests.
